Programme description
This training is available to new entrants/apprentices employed by a MOCOPA approved company for Dual Fuel, Gas and Power. We also provide refresher training, upskills and EUSR Renewals. Courses can be bespoke to the individual company requirements to ensure compliance with individual policies.
This course is suitable for learners who are new to the industry and wish to learn how to install and exchange Dual Fuel Smart Meters in domestic dwellings. This course is also suitable for existing power or gas metering installers interested in upskilling to dual fuel.
Energy Technical Academy is accredited to deliver the LCL Awards Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering, the LCL Awards Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering - LCL Awards, and our own EUSR-approved smart meter training programme.
What ACS and EUSR Categories can we deliver?
We are approved to deliver & assess the following Gas ACS Categories:
- CMA1
- CMA3
- MET1
- MET4
- REGT1
- Gas Low Pressure
EUSR Categories we are approved to deliver, assess & register:
- Single Phase
- Single-Phase, Single off Multi-phase
- Multi-Rate / 3 Phase
Pre-requisites
This course requires that applicants be employed by a MOCop approved company providing Dual Fuel, Gas and/or Power services.
Course structure and Assesment method
Learners will begin training at our centre, developing theory knowledge and practical skills within simulated real-life scenarios whilst building a portfolio of evidence documenting their competence in installing and exchanging smart meters and working safely in line with industry regulations, codes of practices and guidelines.
Learners will then commence with their on-site supervised work practice alongside a competent and experienced installer. They will gain valuable experience during this time and continue building their portfolio of evidence.
The final stage of the course includes initial ACS & MOCop assessments and NSAP Approved assessments for required EUSR Registration including: Single Phase, Single Phase off Mult Rate, Multi Rate, Multi Phase & Gas Low Pressure.
